Where to stay

When you come to visit at at the East Beach Cafe you may want to spend some time in the Littlehampton area.

We haven’t stayed at all of these places, but we have visited them and they’re all nice.

Baliffscourt Hotel with its own spa and outdoor pool, is just outside Littlehampton at Climping, and is extremely comfortable with doubles from £200-£495  www.hshotels.co.uk

Brooklands Country Guest House 01903 889515Brooklands Barn has its own heated pool, five AA stars and is highly recommended www.brooklandsbarn.co.uk

Four AA star Burpham Country House is lovely. It has rooms from £50 for a single and £90-£140 for a double www.burphamcountryhouse.com

Some of the best local B&Bs are:

April Cottage 01903 885401
www.april-cottage.co.uk

Sandfield House 01903 724 129

Derwent House

A bit further away, but worth the extra few miles is

Old Chapel Forge 01243 264380
www.oldchapelforge.co.uk

Amberley Court Bed & Breakfast is a delightful converted barn close to Climping Beach - call 01903 725131 to enquire about availability

For camping go to Billycan – the Telegraph says “Toast marshmallows on the fire while staying at a sustainable campsite on the outskirts of Arundel, where tents and barbecues are provided but there is no electricity.  01903 882103, www.billycancamping.co.uk

In Littlehampton itself the YHA is brand new, very clean and excellent value for money.

We haven't stayed at all of these places, but we've been there and looked round the rooms and they're all nice!
